  • Mid Level Nurse Midwife Officer

  • We are currently seeking a qualified and dedicated Nurse Midwife Officer to join our maternity team and contribute to reducing maternal and neonatal mortality through high-quality, evidence-based care.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • As a Nurse Midwife Officer, you will be responsible for:
    • Providing skilled care during antenatal, labor, delivery, and postnatal periods.
    • Monitoring and managing normal and high-risk pregnancies and deliveries.
    • Identifying and responding to maternal and neonatal complications, including timely referrals.
    • Conducting neonatal resuscitation and providing immediate newborn care.
    • Educating mothers and families on safe motherhood, breastfeeding, family planning, and newborn care.
    • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation and reports.
    • Ensuring adherence to infection prevention and control measures.
    • Participating in perinatal audits, ward rounds, and quality improvement activities.
  • Minimum Qualifications & Requirements
    • Diploma in Nursing and Midwifery from a recognized institution.
    • Must be registered and licensed by the Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK).
    • Valid NCK practicing license.
    • At least 1 year of experience in a maternity unit (Level 3 or above) is an added advantage.
    • Additional certification in Emergency Obstetric and Neonatal Care (EmONC) or Helping Babies Breathe (HBB) is desirable.
    • Excellent communication, teamwork, and clinical decision-making skills.
